After Goodbye

Goodbyes still hold the same weight
Endings are no guarantees of beginnings
Some just remain at the end
And they leave emptiness, the blanks
Spaces not easy to fill
And it is not as much what was never said
As it is what was echoed in the silence
After goodbye.
